This firsthand account aims to demystify the dental implant experience and shed light on the various stages of the treatment.

II. The Decision to Get Dental Implants

 A. Initial dental issues and concerns

The journey begins with the recognition of dental issues and concerns that lead an individual to consider dental implants. Mrs. Malu was suffering from grossly decayed first molar in lower left side jaw since 7 years. On examination, it was found that badly broken root canal treated tooth no. 36 was present.

 B. Researching treatment options

Armed with the desire for a lasting solution, prospective patients embark on a journey of research. Understanding various treatment options and their pros and cons becomes crucial in making an informed decision tailored to individual needs.

For our patient, the search for excellence leads to the discovery of AMD Dental Clinic, a premier dental implant clinic in Jaipur. The importance of choosing a reputable clinic sets the stage for a positive and successful implant experience.

 III. The Consultation Process

 A. Choosing the right clinic: A focus on the dental implant clinic in Jaipur

Navigating the process of selecting the right clinic involves considering factors such as reputation, expertise, and patient reviews. Mrs. Malu told that she chose AMD dental clinic only because she had heard a very positive experience for her daughter at our clinic.

 B. Meeting with the dental implant specialist, Dr. Mili Gupta

The consultation phase involves a one-on-one meeting with a dental implant specialist who assesses the patient's oral health, discusses concerns, and outlines potential treatment plans. Establishing clear communication and trust between the patient and the specialist is paramount.

 C. Discussing treatment plans and expectations

Dr. Mili informed Mrs. Malu that she will have to remove her tooth as it could not be saved. She planned an immediate implant placement and bone grafting procedure after tooth removal. After 4 months prosthetic phase would begin, only after which patient will get a dental implant crown. Managing expectations and addressing any concerns ensures a smoother transition into the next phases of the dental implant journey.

 IV. Pre-Implant Preparation

 A. CBCT

Before the implant procedure commences, thorough dental evaluations and CBCT are conducted to assess bone health and determine the optimal placement for the implants. This meticulous preparation lays the foundation for a successful implant surgery.

 B. Insights into the surgery and anaesthesia

Firstly, after all vital check-up, anaesthesia was administered. After which the flap was raised and atraumatically tooth no. 36 was removed. Thorough curettage and irrigation was performed to make a sterilized bed for implant and bone graft. Sequential drilling was performed to receive dental implant and bone grafting was performed. Good primary stability was achieved and sutures were placed. Patient was given post treatment antibiotics and pain relief medicines along with post-surgery instructions.

Mrs. Malu informs that her surgical area was examined regularly even after successful implant placement.  Follow up visits were planned to be done on second, fifth and fourteenth day from surgery followed by once in a month. Regular follow-up appointments are integral to monitor the progress of the implants and address any concerns that may arise during the recovery phase.
